How do you communicate? What is most important in our communication is that our message is being received and understood. When we consider the lines of communication there can be many insights that will help us have a positive impact and avoid missed opportunities.

The larger the team the more complex the lines will be. For example, if we have a team of 7 members, we can anticipate 21 lines of communication. But wait, what about the patients? Add in 25 patients that are treated in your practice. With 32 people relating with each other in the practice we have the potential for 496 lines of communication.

Using the right tools to communicate, such as, verbal, non-verbal, written and visual aids helps us exchange information and being clear in your message helps us avoid being misinterpreted, misunderstood or being ignored.
